Why is the lion the king of the forest?
The lion is called the "king of beasts", not because of his strength, but because of his mane, which resembles that of a monarch with his crown. Another point is that a king is often surrounded by his queens and fiddlers. Lions are no exception.

If it's not a typical lion living in a coalition of two or three lions, it's often surrounded by its harem, many wives and children. Like a monarch, the lion rarely goes hunting. Several lionesses form his army, and subadult lions hunt him. The lion who asks for it is entitled to the lion's share and the first bite of the hunted prey. If a male lion is attacked by something other than a human, his brother or wife will come to his aid, just as a king supports his army when a threat appears in his territory.
Do you understand what I mean? It is the lion's behavior and regal appearance that makes him king, not his strength.
Even in India, let alone Europe, the lion has been praised and romanticized throughout history for its looks and behavior, while the tiger has been sadly and unfairly portrayed as an evil man-eater and treacherous Sher Khan. The humans, on the other hand, are the ones who invaded their territory and forced the tigers to kill them due to their natural predatory instincts. These legends contributed to the extinction of the largest and most powerful cat in the world.
During European colonization, the tigers lost their biggest brothers, who were either hunted to show off their virility or simply out of envy for their killing ability and sheer strength and size that dwarfed their order in the jungle in every way.
Horses, for example, are admired for their regal appearance and powerful stature, but can they compete in terms of strength and size with wild buffaloes, which are also described as carriers of evil or as monsters like MAHISHASUR in Hinduism and MINOTAURS in Greek mythology?
The situation is the same with lion versus tiger
Scientific evidence has nothing to do with myths.
In terms of strength, I'd go for the giant Siberian, Bengal, and even Chinese tigers apart from size because tigers are undoubtedly more muscular and better fighters, bigger and far more athletic than any existing subspecies of lion. But if I had to choose between a full-grown Siberian tiger and a full-grown male lion, my money would be on the striped cat.
The tiger is also known as the lord of the jungle as it is the guardian of the forest, much like a lord or god is the guardian of the cosmos, given the current conditions. If there is no tiger or no alien in the forest, there will be no forest because the globe does not provide enough other herbivores or valuable predators such as wolves.
